Today, VRN celebrates its 40th Anniversary – making it one of Scotland’s longest-running radio stations.

VRN would like to give a huge thank you to all those involved with the station over these past 40 years – including all the members, organisations and individuals who’ve kept us on air for so long.

Jim Davidson, who has been with the station for over 25 years, has spent the last few months interviewing many current and former members of the station, and has compiled a documentary about the station’s history. The show “40… and Counting” will be broadcast on March 3rd at Noon, and is also available online via the VRNplayer.

VRN’s anniversary was also featured on ITV’s Daybreak, and was covered in a special feature in the Fife Free Press.
