On Friday 6th February, a Rock ‘n’ Roll style disco was held in aid of VRN, at the Kirkcaldy Rugby Club.
It was held just three days after the 50th anniversary of the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Vallens and the Big Bopper – three of the most important entertainers of the genre.
As well as the disco itself, there was also a raffle and auction – where guests had the chance to bid on unique prizes – such as signed shirts by local teams Raith Rovers and Dunfermline.
The event was organised by Chris West, who holds annual charity fundraisers… and an expert on Rock n Roll.
At the end of the night, over £700 had been raised for the station.
